Did your doctor call you on a Friday evening and tell you that you had cancer? What did you say or what did you do? Well, this happened to me in 2014, when my Veteran Affairs Urologist called me on a Friday evening when I was getting ready to go out and party. Needless to say, I was dumbfounded, shocked, ghosted or whatever you want to call it. I could not feel my legs, mouth was dry, and I broke out in a cold sweat as I was home alone and I did not hear anything else he said after the sentence, "you have stage one prostate cancer". My life had changed forever!
